Transit is SAKAEM's standard estimate by distance, counted from pickup.
Cars arriving in Miami most often come from California, New York and New Jersey, with Texas and northeastern states also common origins. Since many are long-distance moves, coordinate delivery with your arrival plans and keep a local contact available.

I just had my Jeep delivered to Miami, Florida from Phoenix, AZ. The transport and delivery was perfect coordinated by SAKAEM Logistics was excellent. Delivery was completed in 4 days at a real reasonable price.
Sakaem Logistics was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, reasonable pricing, thorough communication on what to expect, I had a friend in CO who had to provide Igor the truck driver my car key, and the driver called and was there on time, and drive the car out to me in Florida. My car was delivered promptly and we inspected my car thoroughly and a receipt provided. Thank you for making this easy! Jennifer
Driver was very knowledgeable of areas he went for pickups and dropoffs, also very helpful.
Florida in-state moves are rare among Miami departures. Longer routes such as New York or Los Angeles involve more road time and different carrier demand.
Snowbird season can tighten north-south carrier capacity. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, and storm or evacuation delays are especially possible from August through October.
SUVs, pickups and vans use more trailer space than a sedan, and heavier or taller vehicles can limit how carriers load the trailer. That can move a quote up on the same route.
Tight streets and gated buildings in areas such as Brickell, Wynwood and Little Havana can make truck access harder, adding coordination or requiring a nearby handoff.
Open transport is the common budget option; enclosed transport offers more protection and typically costs more. Enclosed service can make sense for a high-value, classic or delicate car.
If your dates can move, share a pickup window rather than requesting one exact day. That gives the carrier room to fit your shipment into its route.
During hurricane season, keep your phone reachable and agree on a backup handoff plan before a storm threatens South Florida.
For a Brickell building or gated community, arrange entry with security ahead of time and share the instructions with your shipping coordinator.
If your car is arriving from California or the Northeast while you are still traveling, arrange for someone in Miami to coordinate the delivery.
In dense areas such as Wynwood or Little Havana, identify a legal, truck-accessible meeting point before pickup day.

If you are making Miami your home, handle Florida insurance and registration after your move. These state requirements are separate from arranging transport.
Get Florida insurance, title and registration within 10 days of establishing residency; get a Florida driver license within 30 days. [FLHSMV]
Use a Florida-licensed agent for insurance, get an in-person VIN check recorded on HSMV 82040 or HSMV 82042, then take the forms, out-of-state title and insurance proof to your county tax collector. [FLHSMV]
Before registration, show at least $10,000 PIP and $10,000 PDL; keep that coverage active even when the car is not being driven. [FLHSMV]
Florida has no vehicle emissions testing; its inspection program ended July 1, 2000. [EPA (Fed. Reg.)]
Front side windows must let in at least 28% of light; windows behind the driver must let in at least 15% on sedans or 6% on SUVs, vans and other multipurpose vehicles. [Fla. Stat. 316.2953–.2954]
SunPass is Florida's prepaid toll program and works on all Florida toll roads, including express lanes, and most bridges. [SunPass]

New to auto transport? Here's how to ship a car, step by step.
For running vehicles on open transport, Miami outbound quotes on record typically fall at $850–$1,275; inbound quotes are $875–$1,200. These ranges cover the middle half of customer quotes on record, not every shipment. Your exact price depends on lane, vehicle size, pickup access and transport type.
Miami-to-New York typically takes 1–5 days on the road; Miami-to-Los Angeles takes 4–10 days. These are road-time estimates, not the full booking-to-delivery window, and they start after pickup. They are estimates, not guarantees; carrier scheduling and Florida weather can affect the overall plan.
All carriers SAKAEM arranges are FMCSA-licensed and insured, with at least $1,000,000 liability and $100,000 cargo insurance. Photograph the vehicle's condition before loading and keep a record of existing marks; contact the carrier promptly if you spot damage after delivery.
SAKAEM allows up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk or below the window line. Keep belongings secured and out of sight, and remove valuables, documents and anything you need during the move. Hawaii ocean shipments do not allow personal items.
Yes. SAKAEM can ship a non-running car if it rolls, brakes and steers, and you provide a key. Tell us about its condition before booking so the carrier can plan the right loading setup; cars that cannot meet these requirements may need a different solution.
Pay SAKAEM by card, or pay the carrier by cash or certified check; Zelle and Venmo are accepted. Confirm which method applies before pickup so you know who receives payment and when. Use the agreed method and keep your receipt for your records.
Yes. A designated adult must be at both pickup and delivery to inspect the car and sign the Bill of Lading. If you cannot attend, arrange for a trusted adult to meet the driver, review the vehicle's condition and complete the handoff in your place.
