Cars arriving in Pittsburgh most often come from California and Florida, with Texas, Washington, Arizona and Colorado also common origins. These long-haul routes bring cars into western Pennsylvania, where snow and ice in the mountains and western parts of the state can delay deliveries from December through March.

I shipped my car from Texas to Pennsylvania and they are very responsible and responsive. They made my life easy. Thank you very much.
Very smooth process. Driver was very attentive. Due to the destination driveway being long and narrow for his truck, he unloaded the vehicle across the highway and personally drove it up to the house. Great service.
Good shipping company! Car arrived beautifully and on time All around good service and quick pickup and transport!

Pittsburgh winters bring snow and ice, and mountain travel can delay deliveries from December through March. Snowbird demand can also shift carrier availability on Pittsburgh–Florida lanes.
SUVs, pickups and vans take more trailer space than sedans, which can raise the quote. Larger or modified vehicles may also need different loading arrangements.
Tight streets in areas such as Lawrenceville, the Strip District and Downtown can be difficult for carrier trucks to navigate. Limited access may affect where a safe handoff can happen.
Open transport is the standard lower-cost option for most cars. Enclosed carriers offer added protection for high-value vehicles, but that extra protection costs more.

For a Downtown or Strip District handoff, agree on a carrier-accessible meeting point before the truck heads in.
Share full street addresses, building or gate directions, and a reachable contact, not just “Pittsburgh”, so the pickup and delivery plans are clear.
Photograph existing marks before loading and check the vehicle again at delivery so you have a clear record of its condition.
Remove valuables, loose accessories, parking permits and toll transponders before the vehicle is loaded.
Secure loose add-ons, silence the alarm and share any vehicle-specific loading instructions before pickup.

All carriers SAKAEM books are FMCSA-licensed and insured, with at least $1,000,000 in liability coverage and $100,000 in cargo coverage. Before loading, take photos of your car and review its condition with the carrier so you have a clear record of how it looked at pickup.
SAKAEM allows up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk or below the window line. Keep items secured and out of sight, and remove valuables and anything fragile. Tell your coordinator what you plan to leave inside before pickup so the carrier can confirm the load.
Yes. SAKAEM can arrange transport for a non-running car if it rolls, brakes and steers, and a key is available. Tell us before booking so the carrier can plan for the loading needs. If the car cannot roll, brake or steer, contact us before setting a pickup plan.
You can pay by card, or pay the carrier with cash or certified check. Zelle and Venmo are also accepted. Confirm your agreed payment method with your coordinator before pickup so you know who receives payment and how to complete the handoff.
A designated adult must be present at both pickup and delivery to inspect the car and sign the Bill of Lading. If you can’t attend, arrange for someone you trust to meet the driver, review the vehicle’s condition, and complete the handoff.
