Distance & lane
Seattle and San Francisco routes cover more ground than Dallas or Houston routes. Longer mileage and how easily a carrier can pair a lane with other loads both shape the quote.
Shipping to Augusta: $775–$1,300
Augusta’s vehicle table shows that vehicle size can move a quote meaningfully, and enclosed transport is a higher-protection option for cars that warrant it. Treat the sedan entry as a baseline, not a promise for a larger vehicle or a different service.
| Vehicle | Open carrier | Enclosed carrier |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan / coupe | $975 | $1,275 |
| SUV / crossover | $1,075 | Quote on request |
| Pickup truck | $1,300 | Quote on request |

I was very satisfied with using SAKAEM Logistics to move my SUV from Georgia to New Jersey! Awesome job guys I would highly recomend!
Best quote I got for an enclosed trailer and was totally worth it! The sales rep was very friendly and professional and so was the driver, kept me informed throughout the process and even delivered a day early to what I was originaly given.
I almost went with another company, but the positive reviews and better pricing convinced me to give these guys a shot. Great communication, professional driver, and an overall easy experience.
Seattle and San Francisco routes cover more ground than Dallas or Houston routes. Longer mileage and how easily a carrier can pair a lane with other loads both shape the quote.
Hurricane season can delay routes near the coast around Savannah and Brunswick; occasional winter ice can slow transport in north Georgia. Seasonal conditions can affect carrier routing.
Larger vehicles take more trailer space than sedans, so an SUV or pickup can cost more to move. Modified height or weight can also affect carrier fit.
Tight streets or gated entrances can limit truck access in Augusta. If a carrier needs a nearby handoff point, that can affect pickup planning and the quote.
Open transport suits many routine shipments. Enclosed transport gives high-value or classic vehicles more protection and typically carries a higher quote.

If your schedule allows, offer a flexible pickup window on an I-20 route; that gives dispatch room to match your Augusta shipment with an available carrier.
For Olde Town, Laney-Walker, or Harrisburg pickups, check truck access and agree on an easy-to-reach nearby meeting point if your street is tight.
Ask for open transport for an everyday car, and compare enclosed service if added protection matters for your vehicle.
For Dallas, Houston, or Seattle deliveries, share the receiving address and contact details before booking so the carrier can plan a workable handoff.
If your route involves Savannah or Brunswick during hurricane season, keep your receiving contact reachable and confirm the handoff plan if weather changes routing.

New to auto transport? Here's how to ship a car, step by step.
Open transport for a running vehicle: the middle half of quotes on record is $800–$1,250 from Augusta and $775–$1,300 to Augusta. Your final quote can vary with the lane, vehicle, access, and transport type, so share those details when you request pricing.
Typical road time is 1–4 days to Dallas or Houston, 3–7 days to San Diego, and 4–9 days to Seattle. Transit starts after pickup, and estimates aren't guarantees. Share your arrival plans with the carrier early in the booking process.
Carriers arranged through SAKAEM are FMCSA-licensed and insured, with at least $1,000,000 in liability coverage and $100,000 in cargo insurance. Ask which carrier is assigned and review its coverage details before pickup. At handoff, note existing condition on the Bill of Lading and keep a copy for your records.
The carrier allows up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk or below the window line. Keep the load within that limit and secure it before the carrier arrives. Personal items are not allowed on Hawaii ocean shipments.
SAKAEM can transport a non-running car if it rolls, brakes, and steers, and you provide a key. Tell us before booking that it does not run so the carrier can plan loading and access. A car that cannot roll, brake, or steer does not meet these stated conditions.
You can pay by card, or pay the carrier by cash or certified check; Zelle and Venmo are accepted too. Confirm your chosen method with your coordinator before pickup, then have it ready at the agreed handoff for this shipment.
A designated adult must be present at pickup and delivery to inspect the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading. If you cannot attend, arrange someone you trust to handle both handoffs. Give that person your condition notes and make sure they can review the car before signing.
