Transit is SAKAEM's standard estimate by distance, counted from pickup.
Across Eugene arrivals on record, California is the largest source, followed by Texas and Florida; North Carolina, Arizona, and Illinois also appear among the leading origins. That mix means your carrier may be traveling a long interstate route, so the starting point can shape when it reaches Eugene.

SAKAEM Logistics dispatched to me the move of a vehicle from Oregon to Massachusetts. All went well with the move. I recommend SAKAEM Logistics to anyone needing assistance with the move of a car.

A run from Eugene to Los Angeles covers a different route and mileage than one to Austin or New York. Longer lanes take more carrier time and fuel, which can raise a quote.
Winter snow and ice can close or slow I-5 over the Siskiyous and Cascade highways. Pass conditions can affect carrier routing and operating costs for Eugene pickups and deliveries.
A tall or heavy SUV, pickup, or van uses more trailer space and can be harder to load than a sedan, so its quote may be higher.
Tight streets, gates, low branches, or restricted parking can keep a large carrier truck from reaching your door. Limited access may require extra coordination and affect the quote.
Open trailers suit most everyday cars. Enclosed transport adds protection for high-value vehicles, but trailer space is more limited and the service can cost more.

If your move allows, offer a flexible pickup window instead of insisting on one exact day. That gives dispatch more room to fit your car into a carrier’s route.
If a Downtown or Whiteaker street is tight, suggest a broad, legal meeting point the truck can reach and confirm the location with the carrier.
Share full pickup and delivery addresses, and mention gates, steep driveways, low branches, or parking limits before the carrier is dispatched.
For a winter move, watch conditions on I-5 over the Siskiyous and the Cascade highways, and keep alternate handoff dates available.
Choose open transport for a standard daily driver; reserve enclosed service for a high-value car that needs added protection.

If you’re bringing a car into Oregon, set aside time for titling, registration, and the VIN check. These state-specific steps can help you prepare after delivery.
New Oregon residents must title and register their vehicle within 30 days of becoming residents. [Oregon DMV]
Submit Application for Title and Registration (Form 735-226) and your out-of-state title. Get a $9 VIN inspection at a DMV office or a DEQ station with emissions testing; Portland Metro and Medford residents also need a DEQ certificate. [Oregon DMV]
Oregon requires $25,000 per person and $50,000 per crash for injury liability, plus $20,000 for property damage. You also need $15,000 PIP and uninsured motorist coverage of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per crash. [Oregon DMV]
Only cars registered in Portland Metro and Medford/Ashland need a DEQ test before first registration and then every two years. Vehicles in their first four model years and fully electric vehicles are exempt. [Oregon DEQ]
Oregon does not require a passenger-car safety inspection. Moving-in checks are the VIN inspection and, in Portland and Medford areas, the DEQ emissions test. [Oregon DMV]
Side and rear film must let in at least 50% of light; glass with film must let in at least 35%, with no more than 13% reflectance. Only the top 6 inches of the windshield may be tinted; qualifying vehicles may have darker tint behind the driver. [ORS 815.221]

Yes. SAKAEM can ship a non-running car if it rolls, brakes, and steers, and you provide a key. Tell us it does not run when requesting the quote so the carrier can plan loading and access. If it cannot roll, brake, or steer, it does not meet the stated requirements.
You can pay by card, or pay the carrier by cash or certified check; Zelle and Venmo are also accepted. SAKAEM does not require an upfront deposit, and cancellation is free. Confirm the payment method with the carrier before pickup so you know what to have ready.
A designated adult must be at both pickup and delivery to inspect the vehicle with the carrier and sign the Bill of Lading. If you cannot attend, arrange for an adult you trust to handle both handoffs and be ready to review the car’s condition.
